With the arrival of spring, Gansu province’s agricultural landscape is witnessing a dynamic transformation. In the farmlands of Qigong Village, Nancha Town, Guazhou County, seeders equipped with advanced technology traverse the fields, simultaneously planting plump spring wheat seeds while performing fertilization and soil covering tasks. This integration of multiple functions into a single pass not only streamlines the planting process but also ensures optimal seed placement and nutrient distribution.

In recent years, Guazhou County has embraced technological advancements in agriculture. At the Feitian Honeydew Melon Farmers’ Cooperative, three drip irrigation shallow-buried wheat seeders operate along pre-set routes, exemplifying the shift from traditional farming to intelligent agriculture. This precision farming approach optimizes water usage and enhances crop yields.

Similarly, in Lexin Village, Xuanhua Town, Gaotai County, the fields are bustling with activity. Utilizing the Beidou navigation system and modern agricultural machinery, 1,200 acres of wheat are being efficiently sown. The seamless execution of tasks such as sowing, fertilizing, rotary tilling, and harrowing not only significantly improves efficiency but also reduces labor costs, injecting robust technological momentum into spring farming.

To support these advancements, Gansu province has implemented policies and mechanization services to ensure the smooth completion of sowing tasks. Through the construction of high-standard farmland and the promotion of improved seed varieties and advanced technologies, a solid foundation has been laid for stable and high wheat yields. The province is actively shouldering the political responsibility of ensuring food security by implementing strategies like “storing grain in the land and technology.” By enforcing strict farmland protection policies, promoting modern agricultural technology, modernizing agricultural facilities and equipment, and providing agricultural technical guidance, Gansu is continually enhancing its comprehensive grain production capacity, thereby strengthening the agricultural foundation for rural revitalization.

Gansu province’s proactive adoption of technological innovations in agriculture is revolutionizing traditional farming practices. By integrating advanced machinery and intelligent systems into spring sowing, the province is setting a benchmark for efficiency and productivity, ensuring a promising and abundant harvest season.
