New Rates Aim to Promote Sustainable Agriculture Across Different Farm Sizes

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food in Bulgaria has announced the eco-scheme rates for crop diversification for 2023. According to an order issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Georgi Tahov, the rates are set at BGN 75.10 per hectare for farms up to 10 hectares, BGN 57.89 per hectare for farms between 10 and 30 hectares, and BGN 31.29 per hectare for farms over 30 hectares. These differentiated rates under the Eco-Scheme for Crop Diversification (Eco-ROC) aim to promote sustainable agricultural practices and support farmers in diversifying their crop production.
