Innovations and trends in modern crop production

DLG Feldtage 2024 proved to be a hotbed of innovation, highlighting the latest advances in crop production, plant breeding, plant protection and agricultural technology. The event, which attracted 370 exhibitors from 18 countries, was a testament to the industry’s creative drive and innovative prowess. Visitors were introduced to new crop varieties, advanced growing techniques and advanced technologies designed to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability.

FarmRobotix, DLG’s new platform focused on robotics, digital agriculture, automation and artificial intelligence (AI), has made a successful debut. This platform demonstrated how robotics and artificial intelligence can revolutionize agriculture by increasing efficiency and accuracy. DLG-CropNight, another event, attracted more than 2,000 participants who engaged in networking and discussion in a lively outdoor setting. The new format provided an excellent opportunity for professionals to exchange ideas and explore new trends in crop production.

Keynote speeches and expert discussions

The event featured insightful keynotes and panel discussions on timely topics such as climate change, digitalization and new crop protection strategies. Tobias Eichberg, Managing Director of DLG Service GmbH, highlighted the transformative potential of new agricultural technologies. Dr. Lothar Hövelmann, CEO of DLG e.V, highlighted the impressive progress in crop breeding and disease identification, highlighting the event’s role in promoting innovative solutions for modern agriculture.

High satisfaction of visitors and exhibitors

The success of the event was supported by exhibitors who noted significant interest in new seeds, agricultural machinery and plant protection technologies. Particularly popular were the new Live Arena, which showcased machines, and the Field Robots event, where international students competed with their patented robots.

Integrated networking and knowledge sharing

DLG Feldtage 2024 offered extensive networking opportunities through the DLG Plaza and Value Chain Day.
