In a notable boost to its agricultural export activities, the Volgograd region has recently dispatched 8,500 tons of corn and barley to Iran. This export shipment reflects the region’s growing role in international grain markets and highlights the ongoing efforts to meet global demand for quality feed grains.

According to recent reports from the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan regions, and the Republic of Kalmykia, the shipment of 8,500 tons of corn and barley was meticulously monitored. The grain underwent rigorous laboratory testing in accredited facilities to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Since the beginning of August 2024, Russian authorities have overseen this substantial export, ensuring that all shipments adhered to the established norms. The grains were transported by water, in alignment with veterinary legislation, underscoring the importance of maintaining high standards throughout the export process.

Volgograd’s recent success in expanding its export markets highlights the region’s strategic role in the global grain supply chain. The increased export volume reflects both the region’s capability to meet international demands and the effectiveness of its quality control systems.

The successful export of 8,500 tons of corn and barley from Volgograd to Iran signifies a key development in the region’s agricultural export strategy. By adhering to rigorous quality and safety standards, Volgograd is not only enhancing its reputation as a reliable grain supplier but also reinforcing its position in the international market. This expansion of exports is likely to provide significant economic benefits and further opportunities for regional agricultural growth.
