For three years in a row, Treworgy Family Orchards, a family-owned farm in Levant, Maine, has dominated the USA Today Reader’s Choice Best Corn Maze contest. The farm’s intricate corn maze designs, carved into four acres of their farmland, continue to captivate both locals and visitors from around the country. This year’s winning design features none other than the beloved storybook character Peter Rabbit, securing Treworgy’s spot at the top of a competitive field that includes notable contenders from Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Vermont.

Treworgy Family Orchards is known for its long history of crafting creative corn maze designs, holding the distinction of operating the longest continuously running maze in the state of Maine for over 20 years. The Kenerson family, who co-owns and operates the farm, takes pride in creating a memorable agricultural experience for their visitors each season. Co-owner Jonathan Kenerson shared their mission with Spectrum News, explaining that their goal is to “connect people together in community and to the land through agriculture.”

The farm offers much more than just the corn maze, providing visitors with a variety of agricultural attractions, including several varieties of apples available for picking, pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, and an opportunity to pet and feed goats. The farm also boasts a store stocked with fresh baked goods, including their ever-popular donuts.

This year’s maze is open through October, giving families plenty of time to explore and enjoy the autumn season. Admission prices are set at $10 on weekdays and $13 on weekends, making it an affordable and engaging day out for both locals and tourists. The Treworgy family’s continued success in the corn maze competition has helped cement their farm as a staple in agricultural tourism in the region.

Treworgy Family Orchards’ continued success in the USA Today Best Corn Maze contest is a testament to the farm’s dedication to agricultural innovation and community engagement. With over 20 years of creative maze designs and a range of farm activities, the orchard continues to provide a rich experience that connects visitors to the land and local agriculture. As the fall season unfolds, Treworgy’s winning corn maze offers yet another reason to celebrate Maine’s agricultural heritage.
