Collaborative Efforts to Define and Support Agricultural Excellence

The agricultural sector and rural areas are at the heart of the VISION 2028+ initiative, a comprehensive strategy aimed at developing a clear and sustainable future for farming. This initiative brings together experts from various fields to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and formulate concrete goals and development paths.

Mag.a Christina Mutenthaler-Sipek, MBA, Managing Director of AMA-Marketing, emphasizes the significance of this initiative: “Our agriculture is the foundation for many aspects of our society. Participating in VISION 2028+ means painting a clear picture of the achievements of our farmers and showing what they contribute to all of us. On the other hand, we aim to support them through participation, providing direction and planning security for their work.”

To ensure the success of VISION 2028+, the initiative has established focus groups for each of its seven action areas. These groups consist of experts from different sectors who collaborate to address challenges and seize opportunities. The creation process is guided by a high-caliber scientific advisory board, composed of experienced specialists, to ensure that the strategy and its components are based on well-founded knowledge.

Mutenthaler-Sipek highlights the importance of involving all relevant stakeholders, with a particular focus on the farmers who are the backbone of Austrian agriculture. “Our goal is to develop a vision that is closely aligned with the people it affects. By including all relevant stakeholders, especially our farmers, we can create a strategy that truly addresses their needs and aspirations.”

Through the collaborative efforts of experts and stakeholders, VISION 2028+ aims to provide a roadmap for the agricultural sector that not only addresses current challenges but also proactively tackles them while leveraging opportunities. The initiative seeks to offer guidance and planning security for farmers, ensuring the sustainability and resilience of agriculture in the years to come.
