Record Attendance and Positive Feedback Highlight the Latest Organic Produce Summit

Last week, the Organic Produce Summit (OPS) held its annual event at the Monterey Conference Center in downtown Monterey, California, marking it as the largest OPS event to date. With more than 1,800 attendees, the summit featured an engaging mix of activities and sessions tailored for industry professionals.

The summit began with Field Tours and an opening reception on Wednesday, setting the stage for a comprehensive program. Thursday morning was dedicated to educational sessions, while the afternoon was reserved for a bustling trade show. This year’s trade show saw around 180 companies exhibiting their products, and was attended by over 300 retailers and buyers.

Exhibitors continued to praise the event for its exceptional organization and benefits. Luciano Fiszman from Gourmet Trading Company highlighted, “We love this show. It is a fantastic location at a great time of year, and the vibe is excellent.”

The size and scheduling of the OPS are particularly advantageous. The event’s compact format allows for efficient interactions with customers, friends, and colleagues without requiring extended absences from peak season operations. Becky Wilson of Tom Lange/Seven Seas noted, “The conference size gives us the perfect opportunity to have meaningful conversations with current and potential customers. The uniform booth size puts all exhibitors on a level playing field, and the overall expo size gives attendees the time to visit all exhibitors in one afternoon.”

Kyla Oberman from California Giant echoed these sentiments, stating, “OPS continues to raise the bar for industry events. We were truly impressed with the quality of attendees and content presented. It was an outstanding show of retailers, offering fantastic opportunities to connect with business contacts, industry colleagues, and see both old and new friends.”

The positive feedback reflects the summit’s success in fostering valuable connections and providing a platform for industry insights. For a closer look at the event, including highlights from the trade show, click here for the photo report.
